Spectroscopy is the measurement of transmission, reflection or absorption characteristics of a material as a function of wavelength.
Knight Optical is proud to own a range of Varian Cary Spectrophotometers and attachments for accurate metrological testing of transmission, reflection and absorption characteristics. Our Varian Cary 5000 spectrophotometers have a scanning range between 175nm-3300nm and can measure up to 4 OD (optical density).
Knight Optical also owns a Cary 660 FTIR spectrometer used for transmission testing between 1.67μm – 25μm giving us the ability to quickly test all our IR transmitting materials and coatings with a high level of accuracy and repeatability.
We are also is also the first UK company to purchase the revolutionary Agilent Cary Universal Measurement Accessory (UMA) for our Cary 5000 spectrophotometers. The UMA is used to measure transmission, reflection and scattering of optical components at angles of incidence over a 360° range.
Spectroscopy results are supplied as a graph and can be accompanied by excel data where requested. We can adapt our metrology reports to your specific needs. Contact our technical sales team to discuss how we can help you.
