Fresnel Prisms

Custom fresnel prisms are manufactured using the stepped surface approach of a fresnel lens. Custom fresnel prisms are used as a replacement to wedge prisms by having a series of saw tooth like wedged facets moulded in acrylic sheet and will deviate a beam of light by the specified angle.  Knight Optical provide a range of custom fresnel prism solutions to meet your specific requirement.

We can design and manufacture a range of custom fresnel prisms to meet your specific application.  We can provide large fresnel prisms in excess of 1000mm square that can be custom cut for your application.

Fresnel prisms are used as an alternative to bulky glass wedge prisms in a range of lighting and imaging applications as they are light weight and imaging quality is reasonable.  Fresnel prisms are also used in eye care and diagnostic applications.
