Colin Overton – CEO

Colin, our Managing Director at Knight Optical started the company over 30 years ago after getting involved in the John McArthur microscope, a simple handheld device designed for saving lives in Africa, identifying simple diseases and treating them quickly and effectively.

Colin developed the Company into a leading position where quality and service is second to none. By making a large investment in people and a state of the art Metrology Laboratory Colin created the blueprint for success, where highly qualified technical advisers develop long-lasting partnerships with our customers backed by the best technicians anywhere.

In early 2015 Colin took his expertise to open the USA office and introduced Knight Optical’s unique blend of expertise and dedication. Leading from the front, the USA office is already gaining customers exponentially who enjoy Colin’s dedication and enthusiasm.

Morgan Lacroix – USA Branch & Sales Manager

Morgan has been with Knight Optical since 2017. As Branch & Sales Manager for our USA office, she is responsible for the team’s day-to-day operations and leads the branch to success.

Morgan joined Knight Optical as a fresh alumna from the University of Rhode Island with extensive knowledge in physics and an impressive scientific mindset.

When out of the office, Morgan likes to hang out with her two rescue dogs, Harley Quinn and Bane (named after the notorious DC Comics’ characters), and enjoys cheering on her favourite teams on the sports channel.
 

Rachel Brook-Child – UK Sales Manager

Rachel joined Knight Optical in 2017 with a wealth of experience having worked as a Project Manager on large-scale London-based regeneration projects. Her background in procurement and production has also seen her work alongside a large number of global retail stores.

Alongside leading the team to success, as UK Sales Manager, Rachel’s role entails understanding customers and their specific requirements, and providing them with a high degree of technical knowledge to help further applications and uses.

Having owned horses since the age of 14, Rachel enjoys riding her five-year-old homebred gelding, Harley, in her spare time — who, having only recently been broken in, is proving quite the champion!
