Knight Optical offers precision N-BK7 penta prisms designed for the visible and NIR range.
Penta prisms are deviation prisms that deflect an incoming light beam by a fixed 90° angle, independent of the angle of incidence. This is achieved through two reflective surfaces set at a constant geometry, ensuring accurate beam steering without the need for alignment adjustments. Penta prisms are widely used in metrology, surveying, range finding, optical alignment, and beam steering applications.
Our stock penta prisms feature aluminium mirrored surfaces and tight deviation tolerances for reliable performance. All but the entry and exit faces are also coated with a protective matt black paint.
Custom penta prisms are also available to meet specific optical requirements.
