Knight Optical’s Shear-Plate Collimation Testers (CTs) are used to examine and adjust the collimation of laser light within a system by creating a lateral-shearing interference pattern.
Designed for use at 633nm, the wedge angle of the high-quality N-BK7 optical flats have been optimised to give 5-6 fringes for any of the given apertures. Our collimation testers are mounted in a sturdy anodised aluminium frame with a reference line to align the system.
By ensuring proper collimation with a system, it can ensure optimal performance, improved imaging, and stronger signals. Typical applications include:
- laser alignment
- telescope alignment
- camera lens alignment
- microscope alignment
- fiber optic alignment.
We also offer the following apertures:
10mm, 20mm, 50mm, and 200mm.
Enhancement coatings can be applied upon request, including BBAR coatings.
