What are you looking for in Stock?
Aspheric lens surfaces are used to correct spherical aberration (where the converging light from a lens does not have a common focal point, resulting in a distorted image) in lasers and imaging. Traditional spherical lenses cannot collimate light effectively because even small angles of incidence can produce spherical aberrations. This can mean that several components may be required to get the desired result. The non-spherical surface of an aspheric lens allows a single component to effectively focus or collimate even highly divergent emissions, potentially replacing a multi-lens system with a single aspheric lens. We provide a range of stock is as follows:
Precision grade lenses: Stock precision grade aspheric lenses provide excellent performance over the NIR and VIS spectrums. Our stock precision lenses are provided uncoated and single-layer AR coated to improve transmission as high as 98% at the desired wavelength.
Plastic Lenses: Stock plastic are relatively cheap as they are mass produced, moulded or pressed, plastic. The surface quality of our stock plastic aspheric lenses is worse than most conventionally polished lenses. Some of these stock plastic aspherics have moulded flanges for ease of assembly.
Fire-polished lenses: We stock a full range of both stock thermally toughened aspheric lenses and stock un-toughened fire polished aspheric lenses. As well as our stock aspheric lens list we also have a huge tooling inventory available for custom aspheric lenses with “no tooling charges” however if you require a custom lens to your specification we can provide with minimum tooling costs.
Aspherical lens sets: We also provide stock lens sets at reduced costs compared to individually priced lenses.
Diamond turned aspheric lenses: A range of diamond turned lenses in a range of infra-red materials is also available custom made to your specific requirement.
Every component is individually tested by our highly skilled technicians in our state of the art metrology lab to ensure all components meet our high quality standards.
