| As the name suggests cylindrical lenses have surfaces which are sections of a cylinder rather than the sphere normally used. Cylindrical lenses are often used to change the profile of laser beams, for example to correct for astigmatism and ellipticity in diode lasers or to generate lines form single mode lasers. These are good quality cylindrical lenses.
Our stock cylindrical lenses are available in various forms, plano-concave cylindrical lenses, plano-convex cylindrical lenses in either diameter or rectangular shape for ease of mounting. Our stock lenses are also available uncoated or AR coated for visible-NIR applications.
