Filters

Optical Filters are used to control the spectral content of a light beam, attenuate unwanted light and pass wanted light. There are two major types, absorption and interference. There are major cost and performance differences between these two types and an understanding of these is essential to the correct selection of a filter. Filters are also often described by their function, as well as their structure.
