Neutral Density Filters - Metallic Type - UV-Grade

Our Metallic Neutral Density (ND) filters are comprised of a thin layer of nickel-chromium alloy, vacuum-deposited on a glass substrate and attenuate light through reflection. This gives outstanding neutrality and very accurate attenuation across the surface. These filters can also be used as beam splitters as half of the discarded light is absorbed and the rest reflected.
The UV range of Metallic ND filters are on synthetic fused silica and extend the useful UV range down to about 170nm. The density of all our filters is specified at 550nm however in the UV it can be up to 40% higher. All of our filters are supplied with a transmittance scan taken from a filter on the same production run.
