Custom Concave Lenses

Plano Concave Lenses have one inward curved face and one flat face. Planoconcave lens bend parallel input rays so that they diverge away from one another on the output side of the lens. Plano Concave lenses have a negative focal length. We stock Plano-concave lenses in BK7 and UV Grade Fused Silica for use down to 170nm. Fused silica is best used for hostile environments requiring greater thermal, chemical and radiation resistance.

Concave lenses are stocked uncoated or with a multilayer AR coating, a broadband 450-900nm coating on BK7 grade or a 248-400nm on the fused silica range. All uncoated and AR coated Plano-concave lenses can be edged to smaller diameters at short notice.
