| These Fire-polished Aspheric lenses are glass lenses made by a simple moulding process and polished by heating to just melt the surface and allow surface tension to smooth out surface defects. Usually they have a very large diameter compared with the focal length. Firepolished aspheric lenses are ideal for light collecting, for example condenser lenses in LED based projectors. We stock a full range of both thermally toughened aspheric lenses and un-toughened firepolished aspheric lenses. As well as our stock aspheric lens list we also have a huge tooling inventory available for custom aspheric lenses with “no tooling charges” however if you require a custom aspheric lens to your specification we can provide with minimum tooling costs, often as low as £350, please enquire.
